Who wants to spend tons of money on facial care products when the same effects can be had with the stuff in your kitchen. Many spas are moving into the homeopathic methods of cleaning and invigorating your skin. Why would you ever pay for an oatmeal facial that you can make yourself in the comfort of your kitchen for only a fraction of the cost of going to the spa.
The information below will help you learn to make a few recipes that we bet you already have the ingredients for.

DIY Oatmeal Recipes
Warm up half a cup of water in your microwave. In a bowl, mix together some instant oatmeal, a couple teaspoons of honey, a tablespoon of cinnamon powder and some infants or toddlers’ milk (regular milk is the wrong consistency). Then add the warmed water to the bowl to form a paste. Test the temperature to make sure it’s not too hot, then apply the paste to your face. Apply evenly, avoiding your eyes. Leave the mask on your face for 30 to 60 minutes. Wash it off with water and papaya soap (natural papaya soap can be found in most organic sections of the grocery store and for not very much money). Use whatever soap you have on hand if you don’t want to use papaya soap.
Oatmeal With Yogurt
The next method involves cooked oats and plain yogurt. Be sure that you mash the cooked oats as you mix the ingredients together. The oats should be broken down thoroughly prior to application. If your mixture is too thick it can be thinned with more yogurt or a little bit of milk. As you spread this onto your skin take care not to get it in your eyes, then allow to sit a few minutes. Once this mask dries rinse it with warm water. Now apply your regular moisturizer.
One rather easy oatmeal facial entails simply blending together a whole egg, some cooked instant oatmeal and a tiny portion of olive oil. Combine these three ingredients together until you have a smooth paste. Spread the paste onto your face and let it dry. As soon as the mask has dried, apply some lukewarm water to wash your face. Your face will be fresh, velvety and free from oils.
These are all recipes that you can make using ingredients that you probably already have in your house. When you make your own facials, you save money while giving yourself beautiful skin. So why spend money at a spa when you can get the same results in the comfort of your own home?
